Due to Covid-19 we have done a risk assessment for The Briars and made some temporary changes to how we operate.

 

  1. Guests are asked to pay before arrival where possible to limit contact upon arrival.
  2.  Parking spaces have been closed out to avoid 2 cars being parked next to each other.
  3. Strictly no arrival before 4pm due to addition cleaning and sanitising routine.
  4. Strictly no admittance if the guest has or has been in contact with anyone showing signs of Covi-19 or is feeling unwell.
  5. Guests are requested to sanitise hands before entering the inner hall using the hand sanitiser provided.
  6. Keys sanitised since last guest.
  7. Signage throughout reminding guests of our 2 meter social distancing rule, to wash hands frequently.
  8. The downstairs public toilet will be closed guests are requested to use the toilet in their room.
  9.  Cases can be carried to room for the guest but they must remain downstairs in the hall practising social distancing
  10. Welcome letter in room explaining the cleaning that has taken place since last used and room service days. (limited)
  11. All room collateral removed but available upon request at breakfast time.
  12. Rubbish bag with ties in room for guest rubbish due to limited servicing of room.
  13.  Hospitality tray supplies, toilet rolls and antibacterial soap provided in room, enough for a couple of days until room service day.
  14. On room service days guests are asked to vacate rooms by 10.30 to enable safe servicing of rooms.
  15. Public areas in particular door handles, stair rail and water machine taps sanitised frequently throughout day.
  16. Dining tables spaced at 2 meters with no table cloths, cutlery etc.
  17. Cutlery, crockery, serviettes given to guest.
  18. Hot option ordered the night before.
  19. Buffet selection, tea and coffee will be served for you by owner (no help yourself). Which you request and collect whilst owner observes social distancing.
  20. Sugar, salt & pepper  and sauces served in packets.
  21. Guests requested to place used cutlery & crockery on table provided.
  22. Guest lounge closed during the day. Open 8.30 – 11pm. Maximum of 3 couples at any one time.
  23. Bar open 8.30 – 11 pm last orders 10.45.  Maximum 2 couples or 2 single guests allowed at any one time.
  24. Keys to be given to owner on day of departure.
  25. No luggage storage possible on arrival or departure day.  Check out strictly 10 am.
